Pisgah Mountain Hike

Reward:                Stunning views all around you. Admire the wonders of the Blue Ridge Mountains. 

Driving direction: From the Resort follow 74A towards Asheville. Before Asheville, go on the Blue Ridge Parkway South. After the milepost  407 you will drive through the “Buck Spring Tunnel”. Take the first parking area left which is marked “Mount Pisgah Parking Area”. Go to the very end of this parking lot, where you see the sign “Mount Pisgah Trailhead”. Park here. 

Hiking direction:  You can see Mount Pisgah from the parking area. The trail goes constantly uphill to the top of the mountain, where you will find a platform to enjoy vista de luxe. It is a well-traveled trail; you will meet hikers from all over the continent.

Spend some time on the top and take pleasure from the vista, delight in the fresh air, luxuriate in the present moment and relish the views. 

The Pisgah Inn is just one mile to the south on the Parkway. Usually crowded, unless you go on weekdays. Try their soup and sandwich.
